Mr. President, It's time to take Jack Kemp's advice

Since I was a teenager, I have always loved Jack Kemp. Yes, as a Canadian teenager, I knew who Jack Kemp was. What impressed me is that he, as a conservative had compassion for the vulnerable, the struggling and the poor while liberals and socialists had drunkenly and arrogantly believed that they had a divine monopoly from God Himself on these issues. Another thing I liked about Jack Kemp (and his counterpart, former U.S. Secretary of Education, Bill Bennett too) is that he was the most sensitive to the plight of African Americans and put his heart and soul in these efforts. I was dreaming that he would be president in in 1996 but I was glad he was Bob Dole's VP canidate that year but disappointed of how the campaign turned out. Jack Kemp was not getting any younger and it was time for me to realize that this man in all likelihood will not be President of the United States. I pray to God that they will be a younger man (or woman) will study Jack Kemp's true and nobler edition of a compassionate conservativism and may he or she end up in the White House this century and give the Republicans a revolution in their party that they never seen since their inception in the 1860's. As a 35 year old African Canadian, I believe it is my mission and duty to bring Kemp's principles to the Conservative Party of Canada and the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario because they are right, they are inclusive and they are progressive for any party on the right of the political spectrum.
U.S. President George Bush is facing a stressful crisis in his presidency. The tragedy with Hurricane Katrina and the Iraqi war crisis has in no way helped. If President Bush is serious about building a legacy--a good one, he must listen to Jack Kemp on how to handle the issue in dealing with the living victims of Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Kemp says in his recent commentary: "Instead of raising taxes, Congress should provide more juice to the opportunity zone by adding an exemption to capital gains taxes for people and businesses who invest in job-creating enterprises for people in the green-lined zone. As the president said, the people who suffered the most dislocation and distress must participate fully in the rebuilding and the job opportunities that will result from these policy prescriptions. African-American leaders like Morial, Bruce Gordon of NAACP, Earl Graves of Black Enterprise Magazine and Andy Young, the former mayor of Atlanta, have all said access to capital is one of the most important social and economic goals for minority business development and job creation. Let's democratize capitalism as a tool to wage war on poverty, despair and racial discrimination."
Mr.Bush should make this public policy and push Congress to make this happen. The President does not need to increase the ever expanding debt and deficit that every American is facing. This is a golden opportunity that he cannot ignore and push aside. If he does, his presidency will be something to dread rather than to take pride in. Mr.Presidnet, are you ready to take Mr. Kemp's advice and make it happen?

Word verification is excellent.
Do you have any links to any papers detailing Kemp's proposals?

Thanks guys for your responses! This is by so far the highest number of responses to one of my posts!
Thanks Mahndisa for your suggestions, I'll look into word verification at some point.
Lindsey, I had the article from a link from Townhall.com but it no longer exist for some reason. If I can find the article. I think our friend Dr.Piper has given us a blog which I know and have bookmarked to give us an idea of Kemp's policies.
Dr.Piper, I am interested in what way I have confused Neo-Cons, Paleo-Cons and Pro-Cons. Yes, Canada has its neo-cons like David Frum. I know that Pat Buchanan and Lou Dobbs are paleo-cons and of course, Jack Kemp is definately a pro-con. Otherwise, Dr.Piper, thank you very much for your warm welcome to the world of progressive conservativism which is desperately needed in North American politics.
